Dhalla Falls Far Behind Poilievre's Conservatives
Polling from Mainstreet Research suggests Dhalla polls poorest among Liberal leadership candidates
Perhaps one of the more unique Liberal leadership candidacies comes from former Brampton-Springdale MP, Ruby Dhalla. Dhalla was an MP under Paul Martin, first winning office in 2004, before being defeated seven years later in the 2011 election.
With her unique social media presence, Dhalla has made quite a splash with Canada’s online conservative movement. Though a recent Mainstreet poll puts her in fourth among Liberal leadership hopefuls with 13% among all voters, she manages even less among Liberal voters in the same poll.
However, Mainstreet asked Canadians how they would vote with Dhalla at the helm of the Liberal party, and this is how the poll breaks down on the model.
