New polling has suggested the Liberal’s lead over the Conservatives has been maintained following Carney’s election as leader.

Recent surveys from Leger (LPC +3), Liaison (LPC +4), Angus Reid (LPC +5), and Ipsos (LPC +6) all have the Liberals ahead of their Conservative rivals this week.

On average, the Liberals have a two-point lead over the Conservatives nationally, while the NDP trails far behind at 11%.

There haven’t been any major shifts in the polls for the Liberal or Conservatives. On the contrary, much of the movement has been from the NDP, and that movement has been downward.

The party is down a point in Ontario and Quebec, while being down three to four points in Alberta and Saskatchewan/Manitoba. They’ve only ticked up one point in British Columbia, where they remain in a distant third.

Let’s take a look at the model and seat count on the new averages!
